Pause Pyramid

Reps:
10 (0s) – 8 (2s) – 6 (4s)- 4(6s) – 2(8s)
*numbers in parentheses denote seconds to pause at bottom of rep

Exercises:
Pushups, Squats

Rest:
Thirty (30) seconds between sets.

Routine:
Perform the movement as usual with the addition of a pause at the bottom during prescribed sets. For example, while doing the round of eight (8) pushups, bring the chest close to the floor while keeping the body rigid and hold that position for two (2) seconds before returning to the top.

Time:
5-10 minutes
